Eight Ads and Growing
As shown at the top right of the page, the Dynamic Masterpiece now has a total of eight
ads. One of my advertisers suggested I provide a user-friendly way for non-techies
to create a 50x50-pixel image. So I added a link on the Get a
Tile page that takes visitors to Absolute Web Graphics where they can download or create one.
As a courtesy to the owners of this site, I posted their ad ("10,000+ FREE Web
Graphics") on Tile 11 of the mosaic.

User-friendly Contact Me Page
After giving it some thought, I decided to have visitors contact me using an email
address instead of a web form. I wrote a nifty little snippet of JavaScript to
alleviate my original concerns about spambots harvesting my email address. If you
would like it for your own website, use the Contact Me
page to let me know and I'll reply with a copy of the script.

Three Images Posted!
Okay, one of them is a link to a Google Base tutorial I wrote for those who would
like to post an image ad on my website but don't have a webpage. But the other
two images are from bona fide customers!
There's a story behind the Google Base tutorial... I like to use Craig's List to sell stuff. But one thing that bugs me about it is that I can't link from a Craig's List ad to an ebay listing. On the Dynamic Masterpiece (DM), however, you can link to your other ad listings if you want. Google Base is a good one to link to because you can change the content on it at any time while keeping the same URL, which isn't the case with ebay. DM and Google Base, folks, is a winning combination.

Welcome to the new Dynamic Masterpiece website!
Okay, I've finally got the revisions done. Take a look around. I think you'll
like what you seen. You can now get a FREE tile! My goal is to offer image posts
on the Dynamic Masterpiece for free on a first come, first served basis. Those who
get the first tiles will get the best picks. Latecomers will have a more limited
selection of FREE tiles. Once all FREE tiles are occupied, newcomers will have to
bid against tile holders to post an image in the Dynamic Masterpiece. So, as
popularity of the site increases, likewise will the value of each tile increase.
Because of the free-ness of the Dynamic Masterpiece, I am a bit concerned about spamming. So please forgive my use of Turing words on the Get a Tile, Tell a Friend, and Contact Me pages, but they help prevent web bots from abusing my site. If you can't read the word, click the "Turing Word (below) is unreadable" link next to the "Turing Word" field on those pages and you'll be given a new (hopefully readable) word. For you curious web developers, this site uses the freeCap CAPTCHA script to generate Turing words. And, as the name implies, freeCap is free!

Improved site on the way!
I've been working every spare moment to get the new and improved Dynamic Masterpiece
online. I have ironed out most of the details, but still have to write or modify some
code and test it before going live. Please be patient and check back regularly. I'm
sure you won't be disappointed.

Traffic levels and upcoming changes
Well, it's been almost two weeks since getting this site going. Dynamic Masterpiece
has received about 100 visitors in that timeframe, some of which are probably from
search engine robots. I'm rethinking my idea a bit to attract more interest and
encourage visitors to submit an image to be posted on the home page. Over the next
week I should have the details worked out so I can make the changes. Stay tuned!

Official launch of the Dynamic Masterpiece
After working on this webpage for the past few months in my spare time, it is finally
ready for public view. And, now that 2005 has come to an end, it is also time for a
New Year's Resolution for 2006. I resolve to pay my weight in e-gold as commissions to
referrers whose referrals buy tiles on the Dynamic Masterpiece. Since I weigh 77kg
(77,000 grams), that means I intend to pay commissions of 77,000 AUG (more than one
million USD) in e-gold distributed among referrers. Please see the
